Company formed in Panama in 1937 and currently leader of the Panamanian insurance market, with branches in the regions of Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador that is dedicated to the commercialization of General, Surety, Life and Health insurance.
The Challenge
After more than 50 years in the Panamanian insurance market, the Seguros ASSA company purchases the Acsel/X Online Insurance application, resulting in exponential growth of its portfolio in Panama.
With this growth, they expand in Central America, establishing themselves as leaders in the regions of Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador, forcing them to modernize their technological infrastructure and centralize the maintenance and support of their regions from the headquarters in Panama.
Due to the aforementioned, the Seguros ASSA company contacted us to migrate the insurance application of each of its regions to Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g and to deploy them on a single server separated by domains.
What did VPD do?
Thanks to the participation of our CEO in the installation and configuration of the Acsel/X Online Insurance Application at the Panamanian headquarters of the Seguros Assa company, we were contacted and selected to carry out the project. We work hard on installing the tools Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g and in the migration and deployment of the insurance application of each of its regions on the new platform.
Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Installation – VPD proyectos y Sistemas se encargó de instalar la infraestructura, Weblogic Server, Forms & Reports 11g y de la creación de los dominios para la aplicación de seguros en línea Acsel/X de cada una de sus regiones.
Migration and Deployment – VPD proyectos y Sistemas was in charge of migrating the forms, libraries, menus and reports of each application from Oracle Application Server 10g to Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g. Additionally, he deployed each region in its respective domain, creating the configuration points and placing the sources in the corresponding directories..
